'Built to last'

The Ascendant range of access platforms has a strong reputation for their reliability and durability

This reputation has been earned through our approach to the overall design and the materials we use to construct our vehicles, together with the engineering detail and extensive finishing processes employed in building the final product.

To counter corrosion:

All steel components are shot-blasted prior to being powder-coat painted. This operation is carried out prior to assembly. A specially designed lance is used to insure even the inside of the booms have the same treatment.

The inside of the booms are also subject to a “waxoyl” treatment before assembly.

All pivot pins are manufactured from stainless steel

All fastenings, except slew bearing fixings, are structural quality stainless steel.

Deck, deck supports and covers are manufactured from aluminium.

Special features

- All pivot pins are deliberately oversized maximising bearing life.

- All, non-moving, pivot pin support surfaces have bearings fitted to them, preventing seizure of the pin should it need to be removed.

- All switch wiring is returned to a junction box allowing diagnostics to be carried out from one central location

- All wiring runs in a protective IP67 rated conduit.

- All logic circuits are hard wired and incorporate stand alone relays etc. ie no PCB boards

- Terminals are "screw type"
